Start the Day with a Morning Hike
Beginning Father’s Day with a morning walk can be a great way to spend time with family while enjoying nature. Put on a comfortable pair of shoes, find a trail, and get out there! Don’t forget a map, a snack, water and other hiking equipment you may need depending on the duration and location of your walk.
Enjoy an Outdoor Sport
After your hike, take time for an activity or sport that you can play outdoors. Excellent options that Dad may enjoy include fishing or horseback riding. If games are more his thing, try baseball or golf. Whichever you choose, spending time together will be what counts the most.
Grill Up a Barbeque Dinner
After all those outdoor activities, a guy’s gotta eat! But you can still enjoy the great outdoors when you grill outside. Meat, fish, vegetables, and even fruit for dessert can all be prepared on a grill. Yum!
Photograph a Stunning Sunset
Because of the summer solstice, the sun will likely still be out into the later hours. Why not use this opportunity to capture some family-friendly moments? The sun setting will provide a wonderful backdrop to your photographs. Plus Dad will be thrilled to receive a camera as his Father’s Day gift!
Father’s Day is the day to celebrate your dad and the dads in your life. What would be the perfect Father’s Day for you and your family on this summer solstice Sunday?
