Due to the current state of the economy, my daughter’s school decided to hold its senior prom in the school gymnasium instead of renting a ballroom in a nearby swanky hotel. The goal was to considerably reduce the cost of the dance so each child would be able to attend. The parent committee was tasked with creating a spectacular prom on a shoestring budget. The parents were amazed at how we created a wonderful party for a fraction of the cost of the ballroom rental.
