Ellen wanted me to go with her to the grand opening party of a new day spa in town. We all have friends like Ellen. She wanted me to go no doubt because she probably got a discount for bringing another potential customer. But the truth is sometimes its good to get out in the evenings and it’s friends like Ellen that get us there.

This day spa, I figured, would look like your typical suburban day spa with that faux luxe look of endless granite. Boring. Was I ever wrong.

This day spa managed a stylistic feat of excellence. It looked fresh, hip, modern and at the same time cozy and sweet. The instant I walked in I wanted to live there. So why not? Why couldn’t I live there? Well, not really at the spa. But why not take a good hard look and figure out what elements of the décor I could copy at home? My kitchen needed a mini facelift.

Overall the look was updated urban cottage. The floor was a dark honey-colored laminate. The walls featured crisp white bead board paneling and built-in bead board front cabinets with a white marble countertop at waist-height. Above the plate-rail height paneling was a butter yellow textured wallpaper. It was embossed with a pattern that resembled Victorian stamped tin ceilings.

When I asked the gal in charge about the decorating, she was very close-mouthed about it and said only that it was done by the same designer who did their other location.

Later at home, I began clicking it around. I found the wallpaper at Home Depot. It’s called “Super Fresco.” Then I discovered that with a Home Depot coupon at Coupon Cactus, I could get 2% cash back, free shipping, 20% off laminate and 60% off lighting and more. Thanks to Ellen and Coupon Cactus, I’m on my way to a great new look for my kitchen!

If you are, then be sure to get to The Home Depot. Whether you are remodeling your kitchen or purchasing new appliances or power tools, The Home Depot provides products and services for all of your home improvement needs.

The Home Depot is the second largest US retailer, second only to Walmart, and The Home Depot is obviously the largest and best home-improvement retailer in the world. The Home Depot was founded in 1978 by Bernie Marcus, Arthur Blank, Ken Langone, and Pat Farrah. The founders shared a vision of one-stop shopping for the do-it-yourselfer. Their dream was finally realized when the first two Home Depot stores opened on June 22, 1979, in Atlanta, Georgia. From the beginning, Home Depot’s sales associates were leading the industry when it came to customer service. They worked with the customers, guiding them with their projects such as installing new kitchen cabinets or replacing tiles. Indeed, their sales associates have had to undergo rigorous product knowledge training as part of their job.

Today, the Home Depot has over 2,100 warehouses across North America, with an established presence in all 50 states, Canada, Guam, the Virgin Islands, and even China. But most importantly, you can buy anything from The Home Depot without leaving your home through HomeDepot.com.

But you need to get started with your home-improvement project by visiting Coupon Cactus first!
